How to Make a Vision Board That Truly Works (Witchy & Whimsical Edition)

By Cauldron & Crumb

There’s magic in making your dreams visible.
Vision boards aren’t just pretty collages—they’re portals. When you take the time to gather images and words that reflect your deepest desires, you begin to align with them. You start to see them not as distant hopes but as inevitable parts of your life.

Let’s create a vision board that’s not only beautiful but deeply intentional—and a little bit witchy.

What Is a Vision Board?

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals, desires, and intentions. You can make one with magazine clippings, printed images, or digitally on platforms like Canva or Pinterest. What matters most is that everything on your board reflects how you want to feel—not just what you want to have.

This isn't about hustle. It's about calling in a life that’s aligned with your soul.

What to Include on Your Vision Board

Use imagery, symbols, words, and colors that speak to your dreams. Don’t be afraid to mix the practical with the magical. Here’s an example from my own board:

  • A cozy, welcoming home

  • A sun-drenched library full of books and thriving plants

  • My dream business: Cauldron & Crumb—a tea and bake shop with witchy charm

  • A thriving creative life, full of writing, baking, and sharing magical rituals

  • Peaceful, slow mornings with tea and intention

  • A sense of confidence, grounding, and magic

  • A wish to become a mother and grow a beautiful, nourishing family life

  • And above all: a life that feels enchanted, sacred, and soft

You don’t have to show your board to anyone. This is your sacred spell.

How to Make One (Step-by-Step)

  1. Set the Mood: Light a candle, brew a cup of your favorite tea, and put on music that makes your heart feel wide open. This is a ritual.

  2. Gather Images & Words: Flip through old magazines, print images from Pinterest, or start a digital board. Pick things that feel like your dreams—not just what looks trendy.

  3. Arrange It Intuitively: Don’t overthink placement. Trust your inner compass.

  4. Infuse It With Intention: Whisper a few words or affirmations as you glue or click: “This or something better is already on its way.”

  5. Display It Where You’ll See It: Your board is a living reminder of what you’re calling in.

Tips for Making It Magical

  • Add symbols like moons, herbs, or crystals

  • Use colors that evoke certain energies (green for growth, pink for love, gold for abundance)

  • Write little spells, mantras, or affirmations on the back

  • Anoint it with a drop of essential oil (lavender, cinnamon, or rosemary are lovely)

  • Make it part of a new moon ritual or seasonal reset

Let the Vision Work Through You

This isn’t about staring at a board and waiting. It’s about becoming the kind of person who lives the life you’re dreaming of—one small decision, one little act of courage at a time.

Your vision board is a mirror, a prayer, and a promise.
Now go make some magic.
